Il Haagsche Schouw era nel XVI secolo una casa di traghetto, successivamente divenne una casa daziaria, nel XVIII secolo divenne una locanda. Il Haagsche Schouw fa ora parte dell'Hotel Van der Valk Leiden. Si trova all'incrocio tra Rijndijk e Haagse Schouwweg, tra Leiden e Voorschoten. Per lungo tempo, Il Haagsche Schouw era noto come Il Schouw di Duivenvoorde.
