Il traghetto 't Verlaat è da anni un concetto e una presenza popolare sulla Rotte. Attraversare con il traghetto 't Verlaat è una piacevole variazione di una gita in bicicletta o a piedi. I barcaioli navigano il traghetto dal molo sul lato di Bleiswijk vicino al ristorante Meerenbos verso l'altra sponda di Zevenhuizer o, se la situazione lo consente, verso il molo presso l'eetcafé "de Roerdomp". I pedoni con e senza bicicletta sono caldamente accolti.
