La Kapellerlaan, che fu inaugurata nel 1730, era ancora quasi completamente non edificata verso la metà del XIX secolo. Tra il 1860 e il 1940, la strada fu costruita poco a poco con una combinazione di palazzi, negozi e una villa.
Kapellerlaan 55-57 fu progettato dall'architetto e imprenditore di Roermond Henri Delsing. L'8 gennaio 1885 presentò la richiesta per un permesso di costruzione al comune di Roermond. Costruì gli edifici come oggetti di speculazione. Dopo la morte di Henri Delsing, gli edifici rimasero di proprietà della famiglia.
