Sulla Heunsberg a Valkenburg si trova il Wilhelminatoren, una torre panoramica del 1906. Il monumento nazionale alto trenta metri è costruito in pietra calcarea in stile neogotico con finestre a sesto acuto e gargolle.
La costruzione di questa torre è stata una risposta a una
torre di legno che si trovava sulla Cauberg (non più esistente). All'epoca c'erano a Valkenburg due associazioni rivali per promuovere il turismo.
