Nel 1859, i Fratelli di Tilburg fondarono l'Istituto per Ciechi San Enrico a Grave. I ciechi ricevettero lezioni e realizzarono cesti, scope e spazzole. A causa dell'elevato afflusso di ciechi, l'istituto dovette essere costantemente ampliato e si trovò in un continuo stato di carenza di fondi. Per le ragazze cieche, nel 1882 fu fondato in Oliestraat De Wijnberg, dalle Suore della Carità di Tilburg. Nel 1966 De Wijnberg si trasferì in St. Elisabethstraat. Le suore lasciarono il convento nel 1980, l'istruzione era già stata assunta da una fondazione. Nel 1982 anche l'assistenza per i ciechi fu completamente assunta.
