La Cappella di San Pietro è la cappella dell'Apostolo che cita il peccato della negazione , che dovette essere costruita contemporaneamente alla cappella precedente da alcuni devoti.
Sulla sommità dell'incavo del cappello c'è l'iscrizione di Luca: << ET EGRESSUS FO/RAS PETRUS FLEVIT/AMARE », tradotto come: << E Pietro, andandosene, pianse amaramente».
La cappella raffigura i tre rinnegamenti di Pietro davanti a Gesù Cristo (inclusa la scena con il gallo ), in cui Pietro pianse profondamente perché aveva rinnegato il suo maestro. Pianse profusamente e il suo volto si riempì di lacrime.
Accanto al muro di questa cappella si trovano anche lo stemma di D. Jorge da Costa e l'iscrizione:
<< ARMAS. DELLA CAPPELLA IA / CHE IL / SIGNOR D. JORGE DA COSTA AR / VESCOVO DI BRAGA AVEVA COSTRUITO NEL 1494, FURONO TROVATE DURANTE GLI SCAVI / DELLE FONDAMENTA DI QUEST'OPERA NEL / 1839 CON L'IIL (ustrissi) MO / JOAQUIM DA MOTTA CAR / DUE ABATE DI MAXIMINOS COME PRESIDENTE ».
