Wat Phraya Tikaram si trova nell'isola della città nella parte orientale di Ayutthaya, nel distretto di Phai Ling. Il monastero si trova sulla riva sud del Khlong Kramang. Il nome del canale cambia in Khlong Ban Bat mentre prosegue a ovest di Wat Phraya Tikaram fino all'incontro con Khlong Dusit e si unisce infine al nuovo fiume Pa Sak accanto all'isola della città. A est, all'incrocio con Khlong Hantra, scorre Khlong Khao Mao, un affluente del fiume Pa Sak originario di Tha Ruea.
Wat Thung Yi (inattivo) si trova a ovest, mentre Wat Krasang (tempio attivo) è a est.
Wat Phraya Tikaram è un monastero attivo precedentemente noto come Wat Phra Yat, Wat Phop Yat. Il santuario è indicato su una mappa del 1916 d.C. come Wat Phra Phop.
