De lawinecatastrofe van Galtür in februari 1999, die het dorp Galtür en de gehucht Valzur van de gemeente Ischgl in het achterste Paznaun, een zijvallei van de Inn, gedeeltelijk bedolf, was een van de grootste lawine-ongelukken in de geschiedenis van Oostenrijk met in totaal 38 doden. De ramp was bovendien tegelijkertijd de aanleiding voor de grootste evacuatieactie met helikopters.
