Net als in andere bezette landen werd in ons land tijdens WOII kunst geroofd en werd er ook voor grote bedragen kunst gekocht. België heeft altijd beweerd dat het oorlogsverleden onderzocht was en dat er in Belgische musea geen schilderijen waren met een problematische herkomst. Dat blijkt niet te kloppen.
Hier in het Museum Schone Kunsten Antwerpen is er een werk van Cornelis Cornelisz van Haarlem: Ce- res en Bacchus en een werk van Roelant Savery: Orpheus en de dieren.
