Het park was vroeger een kasteeldomein, het kasteel in rococostijl dateert uit de 18^e eeuw. Ook de inrichting van het kasteelpark dateert uit die periode. In de 19^e eeuw werd het opmerkelijke belvedère, op het heuveltje, opgericht. Het kasteel werd enkele jaren geleden omgevormd tot het districtshuis van Hoboken. Opvallendste elementen in de parkaanleg zijn de beukendreef en de grote vijver. Van de oorspronkelijke omgrachting zijn slechts delen bewaard gebleven.
