Wie herinnert zich niet de boeken van Ernest Claes? Ze werden in 1969-1972 verwerkt tot de immens populaire tv-serie 'Wij, Heren van Zichem'. Op de achtergrond van het standbeeld het Klooster van de Zusters Annonciaden waar o.a. Moeder Cent (gespeeld door Jenny Thange), geboren Rosalia-Catharina Van Inthout, geprofest als Maria Hyacintha (1851-1916), een zeer kordaat mens en stichter van de Vrije School der Zusters Annonciaden, in 1873 leefde en werkte.
