Brouwerij Van Eecke (1624) en Brouwerij Het Sas (1572) zijn twee van de oudste nog steeds actieve brouwerijen in de Westhoek. Samen combineren ze meer dan 4 eeuwen vakmanschap, traditie en passie voor bier.
Het verhaal van Brouwerij Van Eecke speelt zich af in Watou, als kasteelbrouwerij van de Graaf van Watou. Deze brouwerij kan bezocht worden met groepen vanaf 20 personen (enkel op afspraak). Fietsers en wandelaars kunnen terecht voor een frisse verpozing of een cadeaupakket bieren in Het Brouwershof naast de brouwerij. In 1981 ontwikkelde Karel Leroy het beroemde Poperings Hommelbier naar aanleiding van de driejaarlijkse hoppefeesten.
De brouwerij kan worden bezocht in groep vanaf 20 personen.
