Neoclassicistisch gebouw uit de eerste helft van de 19de eeuw; beschadigd tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog waarna hersteld naar vooroorlogs uitzicht mits toevoeging van siermotieven ontleend aan de Lodewijk XVI-stijl: festoenen en slingers. Imposant dubbelhuis van elf traveeën en twee en een halve bouwlaag onder leien zadeldak. Bepleisterde lijstgevel op arduinen plint. Middenrisaliet met driehoekig fronton, waarin stadswapen; op de bovenverdieping, balkon met fraaie gietijzeren leuning op rijk uitgewerkte consoles; erboven, uurwerk.
