Hoeve samengesteld uit een woonstalhuis uitgebreid met schuur en vrijstaand bijgebouw geschikt rond een met gras begroeid erf. Voor het woonhuis betonnen waterput. Ingeklemd gelegen tussen de rond 1865 aangelegde spoorlijn Aarschot-Diest en de Weegstraat, nu onderbroken door de spoorlijn. Het erf wordt ten zuiden afgezoomd door een rij bomen. Op de Ferrariskaart (gehucht Savel) is er bebouwing zichtbaar, echter waarschijnlijk niet op exact deze plek. Het hoofdvolume verschijnt op het primitief kadasterplan (1822) en op de Atlas der Buurtwegen (midden 19de eeuw). Rond 1865 wordt de spoorweg vlak ten noorden van de hoeve aangelegd, waarbij de Weegstraat wordt onderbroken. In 1871 wordt het bijgebouwtje geregistreerd.
