In 1895 kocht de Congregatie van Sint-Jozef uit Clermont-Ferrand vele gebouwen ter verzorging van geesteszieke vrouwen. Ook bracht men er een lagere school voor meisjes onder. Vanaf 1896 werden de gebouwen uitgebreid voor de opvang van geesteszieken. Vandaag de dag biedt het Medisch Centrum Sint-Jozef therapie aan mensen met problemen zodat ze leren (her)integreren in de maatschappij.
