De Zuidflank ligt rond het begijnhofstadium achter Den Blank. Het is een duurzame recreatieve zone voor kinderen, skaters, voetballers, wandelaars etc. De pasaangelegde waterbuffers voorkomen wateroverlast in het centrum van Overijse. Ook werden hier vele nieuwe bomen aangeplant, picknick tafels geplaatst en wandelpaden aangelegd. Een geslaagd project van de gemeente Overijse.
