Deze stadspoort staat geïsoleerd rechts van de oude vleesmarkt, aan de rand van de Samber. Deze barokke poort in kalksteen werd in 1729 ontworpen door de Naamse architect Denis-Georges Bayar.
Het is een volledige boog met een gegroefd frame en rustieke één-over-twee nokken. De uitspringende sleutel is versierd met de leeuw van de stad, onder een indrukwekkend gebogen fronton dat wordt onderbroken door een grote schelp waarin twee oude mannen die op het fronton liggen water gieten, wat de samenvloeiing symboliseert.
