Het stadslyceum Nepomucenum werd in 1627 opgericht door jezuïeten. In augustus 2014 worden ongeveer 850 leerlingen onderwezen door 70 docenten. Hiermee is het Nepomucenum het grootste lyceum van de stad, voor het stedelijke Heriburg-lyceum Coesfeld en het bisschoppelijke St.-Pius-lyceum Coesfeld. De naamgever is de heilige Johannes Nepomuk, onder andere de patroon van het biechtgeheim. De leiding van de school is in handen van Angela Bülo.
