Le gymnase municipal Nepomucenum a été fondé en 1627 par des jésuites. En août 2014, environ 850 élèves sont enseignés par 70 enseignants. Ainsi, le Nepomucenum est le plus grand gymnase de la ville, devant le gymnase municipal Heriburg de Coesfeld et le gymnase épiscopal Saint-Pie de Coesfeld. Le saint patron est Jean Népomucène, entre autres le patron du secret de la confession. La responsable de l'école est Angela Bülo.
