Kasteel Laach is een majestueuze villa in Monheim aan de Rijn in de Kreis Mettmann en staat op de grond van de Laacher Hof, waarvan de exploitatie al sinds de 13e eeuw wordt aangetoond.
De Laacher Hof werd in 1886 verworven door de buitenechtelijke zoon van de Belgische koning Leopold I, Arthur von Eppinghoven, die het in 1909 opnieuw doorverkocht aan de burgemeester en dominee van Dinslaken. Van deze ging de hof in 1910 naar Clemens August Engels, die in 1911 het kasteel Laach liet bouwen. Van 1932 tot 1938 was het kasteel in bezit van de vice-rijkskanselier Franz von Papen.
