Het biomassacentrale Sellessen is een energiecentrale die in 2006 in gebruik werd genomen, die werd opgericht als onderdeel van de verplaatsing van het dorp Haidemühl.
De bouw begon in mei 2005, de eerste ontsteking van de ketel was op 19 november 2005 en de eerste netaansluiting vond al plaats op 6 december 2005. De officiële ingebruikname vond plaats op 13 april 2006 in aanwezigheid van de milieuminister Sigmar Gabriel. Het oude dorp Haidemühl moest wijken voor de voortschrijdende dagbouw Welzow-Zuid. Van de beschikbare panden voor de verplaatsing kozen de bewoners van Haidemühl overwegend voor het huidige perceel bij Sellessen in Spremberg. Haidemühl is tegenwoordig een wijk van de stad Spremberg.
