De Scharfenstein is een rots van ongeveer 25 meter hoog, gelegen in de Lausitzbergen. Het ligt op een berg met een hoogte van 569 meter in de Duitse zuidoostelijke staat Saksen. Vanwege zijn kenmerkende vorm wordt het door de lokale bevolking ook wel de "Boven-Lusatia Matterhorn" genoemd. De rots is bereikbaar via ladders en een trap vanuit het zuiden en is een van de beroemdste uitkijkpunten in de Zittaubergen.
