Het kasteel Bad König is een samenhangend complex dat bestaat uit het oude kasteel, het nieuwe kasteel, de rentmeesterij, de huidige Evangelische kerk met middeleeuwse verdedigingskerk en de lusttuin. Het bevindt zich in het centrum van Bad König in de Odenwaldkreis in Hessen.
In het jaar 820 werd de verdedigingskerk voor het eerst als kasteel genoemd, in 1348 was het gedeeltelijk in bezit van de graven van Erbach. De verdedigingskerk ging in 1477 als een leengoed van Kurmainz naar Konrad Schenk van Erbach en de aartsbisschop Dieter van Isenburg behield zich het recht voor op opening. Hieruit blijkt dat kasteel en stad König in die tijd in een verdedigbare staat moeten zijn geweest. Een kerktoren op het heer huis werd in 1478 gebouwd.
