De ruïne van de kerk in Heinsdorf is de voormalige laatromaanse dorpskerk van de ooit zelfstandige gemeente Heinsdorf. Deze werd in 1957 samengevoegd met Niebendorf en maakt sinds 2003 deel uit van de wijk Niebendorf-Heinsdorf van de stad Dahme/Mark in de Landkreis Teltow-Fläming in de deelstaat Brandenburg. De kerkgemeente behoort tot het kerkelijk district Zossen-Fläming van de Evangelische Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz.
De Kreisstraße 7208 voert als Heinsdorf-Angerstraße van het zuiden naar het historische dorpscentrum. Daar slaat de Landstraße 70 als Heinsdorfer Straße naar het westen af. De kerk staat ten zuidoosten van dit kruispunt op een perceel dat omheind is met een hek.
