Het Kasteel van Mataplana is een kasteel in de gemeente Gombrèn dat is verklaard tot cultureel goed van nationaal belang. De ruimte is een archeologische vindplaats die sinds 1986 is opgegraven en bestaat uit een kasteel uit de 12e en 13e eeuw en een verlaten wijk of dorp.
In de Vallei van de Espluga, aan de noordwestelijke kant van het gebied van Gombrèn, zijn er opmerkelijke resten van de muur van het oude kasteel, dicht bij de kapel van Sant Joan de Mataplana. De archeologische opgravingen die in 1986 zijn begonnen onder leiding van Manuel Riu hebben het versterkte complex blootgelegd.
