Het gebouw van het Episkopale Paleis staat op het Bisschopsplein, dicht bij de Kathedraal van Málaga, en werd gebouwd tijdens de tijd van de bisschop José Franquis Lasso de Castilla, vanaf het jaar 1762.
Het ontwerp is van architect Antonio Ramos, die na de dood van José de Bada in 1756 doorging met de werken die deze voor de kathedraal uitvoerde.
