Het vulkanisch gebied van La Garrotxa dat werd uitgeroepen tot natuurpark, is met zijn veertig vulkanen het beste voorbeeld van een vulkanisch landschap op het Iberisch Schiereiland. De vorm van het terrein, het bodemtype en het klimaat zorgen voor een gevarieerde en vaak weelderige vegetatie en prachtige landschappen.
Het Natuurpark Vulkanen van La Garrotxa kent vele plekken die u het hele jaar lopend kunt bezoeken. De vulkanen zijn zonder veel problemen te beklimmen. Laat met name de vulkanen Santa Margarida en Croscat niet aan uw neus voorbij gaan. Er zijn echter ook andere manieren om dit natuurpark te leren kennen, zoals de aangelegde fietsroutes of tochten in een heteluchtballon, waarbij u uw hart kunt ophalen aan uitzonderlijke vergezichten van het best bewaard gebleven vulkaanlandschap van het Iberisch Schiereiland.
