De kerk van Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación werd gebouwd na de herovering van het islamitische Grazalema (1485) op de plaats van een oude Mudejar-tempel.
Eenvoudig, met glanzend wit en buitengewone schoonheid, is het de tempel van de beschermheilige van Grazalema, San Atanasio, en van Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, met een neoklassieke schrijn met de afbeelding van de Menswording en de Heilige Familie op het hoogaltaar.
