Leers is een Franse gemeente in het Noorderdepartement . De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Rijsel. Leers ligt tegen de Belgische grens. Aan de andere kant van de grens ligt het Belgische dorp Leers-Nord. De dorpskern van Leers is tegenwoordig door nieuwe woonwijken met die van het Belgische Leers-Nord vergroeid. In het zuiden van de gemeente ligt op de grens met het Belgische Néchin het grensgehucht Gibraltar.
