Een renaissancekasteel opgetrokken uit blauwe leisteen, aan het einde van de 19e eeuw gerestaureerd door René de Tocqueville, die ook het landschap rondom aanlegde, met een rotondekas en waterpartijen.
Het landgoed van 18 hectare is sinds 1935 eigendom van de stad Cherbourg en werd in 1996 op de monumentenlijst geplaatst.
Het park is een ideale plek om te wandelen en de tuinen en natuurgebieden te ontdekken en heeft sinds 2004 het label Jardin Remarquable.
