Het Château de la Porte Mars is een voormalige residentie van de aartsbisschoppen van de Franse stad Reims. De datum van de start van de bouw is tot op heden niet precies bekend; de eerste versterkingen zouden al in 1170 kunnen zijn aangelegd, maar de datum van 1228 wordt vaker aangehouden. Prosper Tarbé dateert de eerste bouw van dit kasteel of een eerder gebouw rond 922-927. Het is Henri de Braine, toen aartsbisschop van Reims, die de bouw van dit kasteel op gang brengt; het omvat dan de Romeinse triomfboog die al aanwezig was in de wal sinds de bouw van de omheining in de vierde eeuw. Het was toen een van de grote vestingen van het noordoosten van Frankrijk.
