Het Château de la Muette, gebouwd in 1912 vlakbij het Bois de Boulogne, is de thuisbasis van de OESO. Dit meesterwerk van architect Lucien Hesse werd gebouwd in opdracht van Baron Henri de Rothschild en vervangt het voormalige kasteel dat niet meer bestaat. Het wapenschild van Rothschild siert het fronton, terwijl de gevel versierd is met 24 beeldhouwwerken die allegorieën en theatrale maskers voorstellen. De tuinen, heringericht in 2009-2010, herbergen 25.000 planten, waaronder 139 majestueuze bomen.
