De belangrijkste bron van de Seine, die midden in het bos ontspringt, en die de naam Sequana droeg, trok veel Gallische pelgrims aan die er genezende krachten aan toeschreven. De vele ex-voto's die in het heiligdom zijn gevonden, worden tentoongesteld in het archeologisch museum van Dijon. Vandaag is het een charmante stenen nimf die in een romantische grot, gebouwd onder Napoleon III, de bezoeker verwelkomt.
