De stichting ervan dateert uit de 5e eeuw. Herbouwd tussen de 12e en 15e eeuw, presenteert het een panorama van architectuur dat leidt van Romaans tot Flamboyant Gotisch. De schilderijen en oude beelden in het interieur zijn even bewonderenswaardig als de gebrandschilderde ramen in het koor, het werk van Laurent-Charles Maréchal, de grote Messiniaanse meesterglasartiest.
