Het kasteel van Mascaraàs, gelegen in Béarn, tegenover de Pyreneeën, is in zijn geheel een beschermd historisch monument, zowel van buiten als van binnen
Herbouwd in de 16e en 17e eeuw op de resten van een middeleeuwse vesting, herbergt het de belangrijkste collectie authentieke 18e-eeuwse interieurs in het noorden van de Pyreneeën-Atlantiques. Het biedt een rondleiding door een tiental bewoonde kamers. Ze onthullen hun uitzonderlijke marmeren decoraties (open haarden, vloeren, fontein), 18e eeuws houtwerk (Salon des Métamorphoses), fresco's (Volière de la Marquise) en antiek behang. Het kasteel bevat belangrijk familiemeubilair uit de 17e en 18e eeuw en kunstwerken: beelden uit de 13e tot 17e eeuw, schilderijen (Vlaamse primitieven tot de 19e eeuw), oude gravures, enz. De grote oude bibliotheek bevat 1500 boeken van voor 1800. Bewonder tenslotte de oude keuken.
