La Corbillière, gevestigd in een voormalig herenhuis uit de 18e eeuw, is de tentoonstellingsruimte van de stad Mer (7.000 inwoners, halverwege Blois en Orléans in de Loir et Cher). Deze zaal, die een nieuwe dynamiek kent sinds de stad in 2015 het beheer ervan heeft overgenomen. Haar ambitie is om alle vormen van kunst bij zoveel mogelijk mensen te promoten. De drie zalen van deze ruimte presenteren werken uit het einde van de 19e en het begin van de 20e eeuw van kunstenaars uit Merois met internationale, nationale of lokale bekendheid: Alexandre Bigot, John Storrs, Pierre Loison, René Vallette, Ludovic Duclos? Wat hebben zij gemeen? Ze zijn in Merois geboren of geadopteerd, leefden rond dezelfde periode en maakten een buitengewone artistieke carrière door.
