La Manufacture is een plek waar je het hele jaar door kunt lezen, ontdekken, studeren, delen, spelen, ontmoeten, luisteren, kijken, oefenen en ontspannen. Het is een media- en spelbibliotheek met een rijk en gevarieerd cultureel aanbod, waaronder concerten, workshops, tentoonstellingen, lezingen, voorstellingen voor een jong publiek en spelletjesavonden.
Het herbergt ook een erfgoedcollectie over jazz en zwarte Amerikaanse populaire muziek (Panassié, Mansion, Delord, Lafitte-collectie, enz.): 45.000 audio- en schriftelijke documenten, waaronder veel nooit eerder gepubliceerde stukken, die onderzoekers van over de hele wereld aantrekken.
Elk jaar wordt deze collectie tentoongesteld.
