De oorsprong van deze molen gaat ver terug. Al in 1457 is er bewijs van het bestaan van een molen in Chapelon. Hij werd de "Moulin de Nuisement" genoemd vanwege de grote oppervlakte die hij in beslag nam, wat het bewerken van de velden bemoeilijkte. Later, in de 17e eeuw, werd de naam veranderd in "Moulin Gaillardin". Het is een draaimolen en de laatste windmolen in de Gâtinais. De renovatiewerkzaamheden werden voltooid in juni 2023. Aarzel niet om een omweg te maken en de omvang van het restauratiewerk te bewonderen.
