De abdij van Sainte-Marie de Mureau, gebouwd in de eerste helft van de 12e eeuw, op de grens van het hertogdom Lotharingen en het graafschap Champagne, hing af van de Premonstratenzer orde en was een belangrijke ruilplaats. Het huisvestte met name een bibliotheek met meer dan 4600 banden (nu in de bibliotheek van Neufchâteau). Tegenwoordig zijn er slechts enkele overblijfselen, waaronder de in 1683 herbouwde en in 2019 geconsolideerde abdijpoort.

Het dorp Pargny-sous-Mureau is de thuisbasis van
- een kapel gewijd aan Saint Quirin gebouwd in 1669
- een 18e eeuwse kerk gerenoveerd in 2012
- een 19e eeuws washuis met een originele kapel
- fonteinen en calvaires, waaronder een uit de 16e eeuw
