Ondanks een turbulente geschiedenis, doorspekt met oorlogen en kwellingen door de eeuwen heen, zijn veel overblijfselen van de eerste mensen tot ons gekomen. De dolmen van Pierre Laye in Vauxrezis is een van de eerste. Deze neolithische dolmen werd ontdekt in 1841. Deze grote stenen tafel, die in 1944 als historisch monument werd geclassificeerd, is drie meter lang en twee meter breed. Het wordt ondersteund door zeven stenen.
