Het Muziekinstrumentenmuseum is ontstaan uit een schenking van Marcel ANGOT, musicus en componist uit Aigle. De heer ANGOT was een gepassioneerd musicus die een belangrijke collectie had verzameld die de stad Aigle in 1983 erfde. De ANGOT-collectie bestaat uit ongeveer 90 muziekinstrumenten, gepresenteerd in een vitrine. Uit deze rijke collectie komen drie belangrijke organologische thema's naar voren: blaasinstrumenten, strijkinstrumenten en etnische instrumenten. Deze muziekinstrumenten, van zeer uiteenlopende oorsprong en constructie, bieden een opmerkelijk panorama van de instrumentale wereld, vroeger en nu.
