Dit is de oudste bibliotheek en is sinds 1905 in het huidige gebouw gevestigd. Het biedt :
ongeveer 45.000 boeken voor volwassenen: romans, documentaires, alsatizes, taalmethodes, boeken in het Duits en Engels, tijdschriften, kranten, cd's en cd-roms; meer dan 16.000 kinderboeken: albums, romans, strips, manga's, documentaires, boeken in het Duits en Engels, tijdschriften, cd's en cd-roms; 12 zelfbedieningscomputers met internettoegang, kantoorsoftware en kleurenprinters; een documentatieruimte en drie zalen voor groepswerk; een tentoonstellingsruimte; een ruimte voor evenementen; een erfgoedzaal voor het raadplegen van documenten die in de winkels van de bibliotheek worden bewaard en niet kunnen worden geleend; een kinder- en tienerzaal, met een ruimte voor peuters; een pauzeruimte met automaten voor warme en koude dranken en kleine snacks; een terras waar in de zon kan worden gelezen.
