Description

Het gehucht Saint-Léon maakt deel uit van de gemeente Walscheid. Niet te missen in dit gehucht zijn de kapel Saint-Léon en de gelijknamige grot. Deze laatste is 32 meter diep, 24 meter breed en 8 meter hoog. Op een rotswand links van de ingang bevindt zich een gedenkplaat die herinnert aan paus St. Leo IX, die zich hier vaak zou hebben teruggetrokken. Als jonge man kwam hij bidden en mediteren in deze kathedraal van de natuur.
