Het doel van dit beroep is om de artistieke sporen uit het verleden te bewaren en kunstwerken door te geven aan toekomstige generaties.
Schilderijen zijn onderhevig aan veelvuldige veranderingen en de tussenkomst van een restaurateur is nodig om hun esthetische integriteit te herstellen. Delphine Dollez studeerde in 2011 af aan de Ecole de Condé in Parijs met een master in conservering en restauratie van erfgoed, gespecialiseerd in schildersezels, en was een regionale winnaar van de Ateliers d'Art de France wedstrijd in 2019 in de categorie "Erfgoed". Delphine Dollez werkt zowel op doek als op verflagen en op alle soorten schilderkunst, zowel oud als hedendaags.
