Als u de lange laan langs de zee volgt, gaat u van Petit-Travers, dat bij de stad Carnon hoort, naar Grand-Travers, dat bij La Grande-Motte hoort. De plek is in alle opzichten gelijk, het werkt met dezelfde windrichtingen: Van zuidoost naar zuidwest, en soms ontstaan er zelfs mooie golven, als de lage druk groot genoeg is. De wind waait opzij/aan de kust, wat het een veilige plek maakt voor beginners, vooral omdat het strand relatief groot is en er voldoende ruimte is om op te zetten, te landen en op te stijgen.
