De ontdekkingstocht door de wasplaatsen van Saint-Georges-de-Rex is een reis in de tijd die herinnert aan deze gezellige plaatsen waar de vrouwen van het dorp elkaar exclusief ontmoetten om de was te spoelen en te praten.
In het dorp is het was- en drinkhuis Richebert, waarvan het water vroeger de slotgracht onder water zette, een rechthoekig openluchtbekken dat door de gelijknamige beek via een reservoir wordt gevoed. Het nabijgelegen kleine ruim diende als drenkplaats voor het vee.
