Holving is een gemeente verdeeld over zes buurtschappen: Holving, Ballering, Bettring, Dieferfing, Hinsing en Hirbach.
De Mutterbach (een zijrivier van de Albe) stroomt door de gemeente.
De vijver van Hirbach (52 ha) is een onderdeel van de aquatische Maginotlinie, aangelegd in 1939 om het gat te dichten dat in de Maginotlinie was ontstaan door de weigering per referendum van de Saar om Frans te worden.
Om te zien:
- De kapel van Notre Dame de Lourdes
- De dambrug van de Maginotlinie.
- De vijver van Hirbach.
- De Maagd Onze Lieve Vrouw van de Vrede.
- De kerk van de Onbevlekte Ontvangenis (neogotisch 1869).
- De June 1940 Memorial.
