De route begint met zes kilometer vlak langs de Tarn op een vaak beschaduwd pad. We doorkruisen het dorp Saint Chély du Tarn en het gehucht Pougnadoires. Vanaf daar begint een klim naar Cabrunas, een gehucht van Sauveterre. Een pad stelt ons in staat om de GR de pays te bereiken die we volgen tot Dignas, vanwaar we aan de afdaling naar Saint Enimie beginnen.
