Markree Castle is een kasteel gelegen in Collooney, County Sligo, Ierland. Het is het voorouderlijke huis van de familie Cooper, deels omringd door de rivier Unshin. Tegenwoordig is het een klein door een familie gerund hotel.
In de jaren 1830 had de sterrenwacht op het terrein van het kasteel de grootste refractor telescoop ter wereld, en wat vandaag de dag bekend staat als de asteroïde 9 Metis werd daar in de jaren 1840 ontdekt door het personeel van de sterrenwacht van de Coopers.
