Het gerechtsgebouw, dat werd ontworpen door George Papworth in de neoclassicistische stijl en gebouwd in pleistersteen, werd in 1822 voltooid. Het werd herbouwd naar een ontwerp van George Wilkinson in 1860. Het ontwerp omvatte een symmetrische voorgevel die naar The Mall was gericht; er was een korte trap die leidde naar een groot hexastyle portiek met Dorische zuilen die een gemodillioneerde kroonlijst en een entablement ondersteunden; het portiek werd aan beide zijden geflankeerd door twee vensters, waarbij de uiteindelijke vensters, die naar voren kwamen als paviljoens, op de eerste verdieping Venetiaanse vensters hadden.
